The Apps Evolution
The Team
Product Owner, Testers, UX Researchers, Stakeholders, Developers - My role - UX/UI Designer
I had to create a user-friendly mobile app for agents on iOS and Android platforms. The existing screens were not suitable, so I designed new ones.
The Pain Points - The mobile breakpoint
The agents required a mobile application because the mobile breakpoint did not provide a functional user experience. A few agents were required to physically come to the office to access their clients' accounts. The entire team understood and empathized with their plight, as it was an unsettling experience.
Defined the MVP with the agents.
The agents are interested in tracking their clients' accounts and are curious about why the home office has not approved a policy. They wonder what actions they can take to help move the policy forward and receive approval. The agent also wishes to be able to search through all their accounts.
The MVP Iteration - MyDesign.
During this phase of the design process, my primary concern was ensuring accessibility. I took great care in examining color contrasts, setting up alerts correctly, and utilizing appropriate font sizes. I've utilized both Xcode Accessibility Inspector and Android App Tester to ensure accessibility.
feedback from agents and first release - ideate
During the next phase of the design process, I collaborated with the UX Research Team and gathered feedback from agents. I utilized their input to improve the functionality of the flow, making necessary changes until it was fully functional.
second release - iteration, prototype, test
Apps Iterations
We carefully considered the agent's needs and improved the New Business and In-force Activity screens by adding a sort/filter feature. Additionally, we made requirements more prominent for the convenience of the agent.
New Business
Individual cards with associated requirements can be reviewed, sorted, pinned, and acted upon by agents through a detailed screen.
Detailed Screen
With the detailed screen, the agent can easily keep track of the requirements, their deadlines, and the responsible parties involved.
In-Force Activity
The agent can filter their in-force activities based on either time or type.
